| Doing timing belt replacement on a replacement motor I got and none of the gears lined up perfectly (cam and exhaust) so I started making slight adjustments to line everything up. The drivers side lined up perfectly, the passenger side was being difficult to move and then jumped like 90 degrees . Tried with other gear on passenger side and it did the same with very little force. Now that I've scared myself near death: how do I adjust the gears properly? Exhaust is off by 90 degrees counter clockwise and the cam is off by 90 degrees clockwise.
